OPR History

Operation Photo Rescue was founded by David Ellis and Rebecca Sell from Fredericksburg, VA's Free Lance Star newspaper. Upon returning from a photo assignment, Sell and Ellis were compelled to pool their resources and, with help from their newspaper, started a grass roots organization dedicated to righting some of the wrongs that America witnessed during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
